Injury #2 happened when I was in high school. So, I lasted pretty good from 2nd grade all the way to being a sophomore in high school. That seems to be about 8 years. Now, i’m not including like the really, really low impact injuries. My friend Ed (who owns http://www.akronautotowing.com) says those injuries should count too. I told him it would be too much to write, haha.
Some of those like sprained ankles, hurt fingers, head injuries, you know, the low impact stuff. Actually, just thinking about it, i did get stitches too. I don’t remember when it was, but it didn’t feel good.
We, my family, were at my aunt’s house. They live about a mile away so it was like we were always down there. My brothers and I had bikes, so half the time we would just get on our bikes and ride down there. We always liked to play outside so it was cool. Down by their house they had a crick which ran by a field we had. Then it curved around and ran under the road. What was cool is that it had like two big tunnels for under the road. We were always looking for snakes and running back and forth. The crick wasn’t that deep and only one tunnel had any water in it. Actually now I think it might be a little higher than it used to be.
So anyways, back to the story. Down on the bank of the crick were about 1000 bricks. It used to be like an old brick maker location. We would grab the bricks and throw them in the crick. Yes, there was no nintendo, xbox, or playstation at this time so that is what us country folk did. Then it happened, I went down to grab a few bricks and my brother tossed one right on my head. I really have no clue why he threw it or what I was doing down there but that sucker drilled me right on the head. Blood started gushing and I had to go to the ER to get some stitches. It really didn’t hurt, I have a feeling it was a small little rock, otherwise it would have really made me bleed!
Guess next update will have to be about my high school update!
